AGROSOCIAL presente en las jornadas de fomento de la empleabilidad de la ETSIA de Sevilla

The AGROSOCIAL project took part in the Employability Promotion Conference organised by the Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering (ETSIA) of the University of Seville, held in Seville in 2026. This event brings together students, graduates, and organisations from the agri-food sector to connect university education with the labour market and foster career opportunities.

During the event, AGROSOCIAL presented its main areas of work in social innovation, sustainability, and rural development, sharing with students initiatives aimed at promoting a more inclusive and job-creating model of agriculture.

Through this participation, AGROSOCIAL strengthens its commitment to collaboration between academia and local communities, supporting the training of future professionals and the advancement of more sustainable agri-food systems.

The Department of Sustainable Development and Tourism of the Diputación de Cáceres has secured funding for four cross-border cooperation projects במסגרת the Interreg Spain–Portugal 2021–2027 programme, co-financed by the European Union. These initiatives, running until 31 December 2028, aim to promote innovation, rural employment, and sustainable tourism through collaboration between Spanish and Portuguese entities.

Among the approved projects, AGROSOCIAL PLUS stands out. Led by the Diputación de Córdoba, it places technological innovation and the social economy at the heart of rural development. The project will promote the creation of living labs to test smart irrigation, digitalisation, and precision agriculture solutions in the agri-food sector.

It also includes the launch of a senior management school in the social economy aimed at cooperatives, mentoring programmes to foster social entrepreneurship, and trade fairs to support the marketing of local products. In the province of Cáceres, this action will involve eligible investment of more than €336,000, supported by ERDF funding.

Alongside AGROSOCIAL PLUS, three additional initiatives will focus on enhancing sustainable tourism in water-linked territories, tackling depopulation through social innovation and talent attraction, and expanding responsible cycling tourism networks.

Taken together, these projects strengthen Iberian cooperation as a key tool to revitalise rural areas, create sustainable economic opportunities, and enhance territorial cohesion in the province of Cáceres.
